The door only opens with PPE on.

Connected to an electronic lock, Vigiles checks the PPE of whoever is at the door and releases entry when everything is in place. What happens when something is missing is up to each company.

Why it matters

Alerting is good. Preventing is better.

An alert depends on someone seeing it and acting. At the entrance of hazard areas, such as confined spaces, machine rooms and cold rooms, the lock turns the rule into a barrier: without the required PPE, the door stays shut.

The door that checks before it opens

Illustrative simulation: a person arrives without a helmet and the door reacts according to the company rule. Switch the rule and see the difference.

Feature under development. The lock only acts on entry: exit and emergency opening always stay free, as safety rules require. The demo is an illustrative simulation.

What Vigiles will do

  • Automatic release

Once the PPE is confirmed, the lock opens on its own, with no badge and no queue.

  • Rules set by the company

Each company chooses what happens when PPE is missing: keep the door locked until the person gears up, allow a supervisor override, or just alert.

  • Feedback at the door

A display or light shows what is missing, so the person can gear up and try again.

  • Every attempt logged

Released entries, blocks and manual overrides are all recorded in the dashboard.

How it will work

  1. 1

    Person at the door

The entrance camera detects whoever approaches.

  2. 2

    PPE check

On-site processing checks the PPE required for that area.

  3. 3

    Lock released or held

Vigiles drives the lock according to the company rule and logs the event.
